Tap the word Borrow and the next screen will say, ' You are borrowing for 21 days'. If the first option is Borrow, the book is available. To borrow a book, magazine or audiobook, look at the information next to the jacket illustration. For each choice you will be able to refine your search, for example by author or title. Once you have selected a format, choose from New, Popular, Random, Available or Subjects. To confirm your choice tap Apply Preferences. To select from just books, audiobooks or magazines, scroll down and select Preferences, and then Format, as shown below. Click Available to search across all formats.

Next you will need to enter your library card number and PIN. Click Not Yet if you haven’t yet registered with West Sussex Libraries (you will need to!) but Yes if you do have a card. When you open the app, you will be asked if you have a library card. To access Libby on a laptop or PC, go to the Libby website. Signing up to Libbyĭownload and install the app from the Google Play store or the Apple Store and then click to Open the program.

For a seamless transition, be sure to switch to Libby by the end of 2022.

The library's OverDrive website will continue to be, which has the look and feel of the original OverDrive app.

Devices with browsers can also use FVRL's Libby website, which has the look and feel of the Libby app.

The original OverDrive app has been removed from the Google Play, Apple App, and Microsoft stores. This means that new OverDrive users will need to download the Libby app to access OverDrive eBooks and eAudiobooks on their Android and iOS devices.Ĭurrent users of the OverDrive app may keep using it for now, but OverDrive plans to discontinue it in early 2023.
